This tutorial was broughtto you by Envato Elements.
Hello, and thanksfor watching Orange83.
It's time to fastenyour seat belts because today's tutorial will bea transition roller coaster.
We're going to lookat some transitions which are super easy to doand can be done within seconds.
So I hope you're ready because today I'm goingto show you how to do the next 10 transitionswithin 10 minutes.
I really hope that you loved the examplesthat I just showed you because that is what we're goingto recreate in this tutorial.
Okay, let's put 10 minutes on the clock and move overto Premiere to start editing.
Inside Premiere i've alreadygot two clips on the timeline that we're going to usefor the transition.
The first step is creatingan adjustment layer inside the project panel.
Click on the new icon and thenselect adjustment layer, then accept the default settingsand click OK.
You can now drag the adjustmentlayer over to the timeline and place it on topof the two clips.
Now, I'm going to move theplayhead between the two clips and then I'm going to switchto the Razor tool to cut the adjustment layer.
Make sure that the adjustmentlayer is similar in length on both sides and youcan remove the other parts.
Next we're going to headover to the effects panel and there were going to searchfor the 'Mosaic' effect.
You can apply this effectto the adjustment layer and then head overto the effects control panel.
In this panel we're going toenable keyframes for horizontal and vertical blocks and we're going to setthe first value to 15.
Then I'll move a few frames back and then create another setof key frames with value 50.
I'll take these two keyframes and move them behindthe center keyframes.
Now, we're going to createanother set with value 50.
And then move a few frames back and creates another setwith value 200.
And again, we're goingto select the key frames and this time move themto the end of the transition.
And we'll need one more setof key frames with value 200 and move thisto the beginning.
So to summarize you've got five sets of key frameswith values 200, 50, 15, 50, 200.
And this all together creates this coolpixelated transition effect.
Okay, it's timefor the next transition.
This one is also basedon an adjustment layer.
So we'll takethe same adjustment layer.
Put it on top of the two clipsand then trim the duration.
Then we'll move over to the effects panel and searchfor the Gaussian blur effect.
We'll take this effect and applyit to the adjustment layer.
And again, we'll putthe playhead in the middle and then move overto the effects control panel.
We're going to enable keyframes for blurriness and setthe first value to 150.
And I will also enable'repeat Edge pixels' to get rid of the darker edges.
Now to create the nextkey frame we're going to move couple framesback and set the value to 0.
We'll put this key frameat the beginning and create another onewith value 0 and put it at the end of the transition.
This is the blur transition that we createdwith these keyframes.
This classic blur transitionalready looks great, but we can make itmore smoother by simply adding a cross dissolve effectbetween the two clips.
Make sure you shortenthe duration and it will look something like this.
Okay, let's move onto the next one and here we're going to usethe same adjustment layer again.
I'll put it on the timeline andthen cut the adjustment layer so the length will be somewhat equal on both sidesof the transition.
Okay in the nextstep we need to go to the effects panel and searchfor the 'Transform' effect.
And again drag the effect over to the timeline and apply itto the adjustment layer.
Then move overto the effects control panel.
In the transform effect we're going to changethe scaling value to 300 and will also enable keyframes.
Then move a few frames back andchange the value back to 100.
And we'll createanother keyframe somewhere here with also value 100.
With these keyframes we've nowcreated this Zoom effect.
And we can improve thisby disabling the option for 'use composition shutter angle'and set it to 360.
This will adda nice motion blur.
And to finish it off, we're going to make itmore smoother by right-clicking on the first keyframe and selecting ease out and easein for the second keyframe.
Let's take a lookat the final result.
Are you ready for the next one? Here we go.
We're going to usethe same adjustment layer again.
But in contrast to the other ones wedon't have to cut this one yet.
First we're goingto add an effect to the adjustmentlayer called 'invert'.
Then I'll put the playhead in the middle and zoom in a bitso we can work more precisely.
Now we can switchto the Razor tool and then make three cutson both sides of the transition.
If you want to usethe playhead as your guideline, you can move this frame by frame by using the arrow keyson the keyboard.
We can now switch backto the selection tool and then use the delete keyto remove the parts that we don't need.
And this whole togethercreates the following x-ray strobe effect.
The next one does not requirean adjustment layer, but here we're going to stackthe first clip partially on top of the second one.
And then inside the effectspanel we're going to search for the 'Gradient Wipe' effect.
I'm going to apply this effect to the first clipand then move the playhead to the beginningof the transition.
Make sure to selectthe first clip and I move over to the effects control panel.
In here we're goingto enable keyframes for transition completionof the gradient wipe effect.
Then we're going to skipa couple frames forward and change the valueto 100 percent and then move that keyframe to the endof the transition.
And that is how you create thissimple gradient wipe transition.
Let's pause thecountdown timer for now so you can have a little break and I can tell youabout the sponsor of this video.
All the stock video clips, text animations andsome sound effects that I use in this tutorialare coming from Envato Elements.
Currently, they've gotmore than 2 million items in their collection and these items are all includedin one single subscription.
You can download allthese assets unlimited for both personaland commercial use.
This all includes stock video, images and photos, music and sound effects, but also, video templates liketitle effects' logo animations and photo slideshows.
I can highly recommendyou to give it a try with my discount code which you can findin the video description.
Are you ready fortransition number 6? Let's go! For this transition we're goingto put the second clip partially on top of the first one.
Then we'll goto the effects panel and search for the 'Circle' effect.
We're going to apply this effect to the second clipand then move the playhead to the beginningof the transition.
And now you can seethis white circle that we just added herein the middle of the frame.
Now, we'll selectthe second clip on the timeline and then inside the effectscontrol panel we're going to set the blending modeto 'Stencil Alpha'.
And now as you can seethe second clip is visible inside the circle.
We can now simply enablekeyframes and change the value for the first one to 0.
Then move the playheadto the end of the transition and then on that pointincrease the radius size until it fillsthe entire screen.
And then right clickon the last keyframe and select ease in to make the animationa bit more smoother.
And that's how you createthis circle transition.
For the next one we're going tostart by creating a Color Matte.
Inside the project panelgo to the new icon and select the Color Matte.
Then accept the defaultsequence settings and click OK.
And next you can pick any color that you prefer and alsogive it a name and click ok.
Now we can select this colormatte in the project panel and drag it over to the timelineon top of the two clips.
We'll also need to trimthis color matte until it overlaps both clips, just like this.
And then we can goto the effects panel and search for the 'Push' effect.
Welcome to apply this tothe beginning of the color matte and then the shortened itto the center of the transition.
And now we need to applyit a second time, this time to the endof the color matte.
And with these coupleof steps we've now created this simplecolor matte transition.
Okay, guys, we're still on trackto do this within 10 minutes.
Let's go! And for this one we'll also usethe adjustment layer on top of the two clips and shortenthe duration as well.
Then inside the effects panelwe're going to search for the 'find edges' effect.
We'll apply thisto the adjustment layer and then head overto the effects control panel.
Somewhere around here we're going to adda keyframe with value 0.
Then we're going to moveforward and add another keyframe with value 0.
Then skip a few more framesand then add the keyframe with value 100 and put itat the end of the transition.
And create another one with value 100 and putit at the beginning.
This is what we've got so far.
As you can see, there's still a bitof a rough cut or jump between the two clips, but we can fix this by simplyadding a cross dissolve.
And now this find edgestransition looks like this.
We've got two more transitionsleft and this one is also done with an adjustment layer.
But for this one, we need the adjustment layerto be a little longer on top of the second clip.
Then inside the effects pedalwill come to search for the 'ProcAmp' effect.
We'll apply thisto the adjustment layer and then put the playhead atthe beginning of the transition and then head overto the effects control panel.
Then we're going to enablekeyframes for brightness and we'll keep the firstkeyframe and value 0.
Then move the playheadforward at the point where the two clips meet andthen increase the brightness.
You'll need to increasethis to the point where just everythingbecomes white in the frame.
Then we need to move forwardand create another one with value 0.
And then also move this keyframeto the end of the transition.
And that's all there is if you want to createthis glow transition.
Okay, guys, this isthe final transition for this tutorial.
Please let me knowin the comments if you're still herewatching the final transition of this tutorial and let me knowwhich one you like the most.
Of course, I won't be ableto respond to everybody.
But please be assured that I've read every singlecomment on my channel so far.
Okay back totransition number 10.
Here we're going to startby moving the second clip partially on topof the first one.
And inside the effects panelwe're going to search for the 'Transform' effect and apply thisto the second clip.
We're going to move the playheadto the end of the transition and then select the second clip and move overto the effects control panel.
In here we're going to enablekeyframes for position.
And then we're goingto move a couple frames back and create another key frame.
You can move the second clipto any direction you prefer in this case will gofor the left.
I'll move the keyframeto the beginning for now and also disable the option'use composition shutter angle' and change this value to 360.
And that's all to addthe motion blur that we talked about earlier.
And this is how totransition looks so far.
In my opinion this onegoes a bit too slow.
But if you want to change this, all you need to do is bringthe keyframes a little closer to each other.
And again, we can makethe animation go smoother by right-clickingon the last keyframe and selecting ease-inand ease-out for the first one.
As I mentioned to you can make this smooth panning transitionmove into any direction and that would looksomething like this.
Okay, guys, it looks like we did 10 transitionswithin 10 minutes.
I hope youenjoyed this tutorial.
And if you did thenplease like the video.
I would really appreciate that.
If you want to learnhow to save one of the transitions as a presetthen check out this video or if you want to learn how to do some cool text effects in Premiere thencheck out this one.
In any case thanksagain for watching.
